As an Austin-based wedding photography and videography team, we know a thing or two about cameras. We know which lenses get the best wide angles. We know which camera to use for late-night party photos. But in our opinion, nothing beats 35 mm film photography.
There is something so nostalgic about film photography. It feels dreamy and ethereal, yet grounded. It reminds you of how you felt the moment it was taken, capturing the beautiful, the messy, the imperfect, the real. As wedding photographers, it is our job to capture the most important moments of your life, which is why we include a film add-on option for every single one of our packages!

How We First Began Working With Film
Film photography might be trending right now, but it is so much more than a trend! We started using film in our everyday lives as a way to slow down the photography process. We wanted to add intentionality to our images when traveling or spending time exploring together. However, our interest in film started a long, long time ago. 85 years ago, to be exact.
Cayla’s grandfather loved photography. As far as she can remember, he would have a Canon film camera hanging around his neck. He wanted Cayla’s dad to be a dentist, but he passed down an interest in photojournalism instead. So instead of building a dental practice, Cayla’s dad built a darkroom. Many of Cayla’s earliest memories revolve around old rolls of film and yellowing family albums documenting her childhood. Somewhere in her young, developing mind, she absorbed every click of the camera’s shutter. And now, here we are, offering that same deeply sentimental style of photography to our clients.

Adding 35mm Film Photography to Your Packages
We offer 35mm film photography with every package. Most couples choose to add it to their engagement session or wedding day package. While there is a $500 fee for adding film, it comes with a good reason! Many photographers simply bring another camera with them and switch between film and digital during your event. We are the only photographers who bring an additional photographer with us, specifically to shoot film! This way, you will have another unique perspective on your event, and you won’t have to worry about us missing something while we switch between cameras. When you add 35mm film photography to your session, you get an unlimited amount of photos and get to enjoy the irreplaceable wistfulness of film!
Does the beauty of film photography speak to you, too? Check out our packages and get in touch to chat about adding 35mm film photography to your session!
