Chloe + Jesus
October 2026
Some weddings feel like they were made for a historic downtown, and Chloe and Jesus’s day in San Antonio was exactly that. From the soaring Gothic arches of St. Joseph Catholic Church to the chandeliers and marble of The St. Anthony Hotel, every moment felt timeless, romantic, and so full of joy. Even a rainy forecast couldn’t dim this celebration (if anything, it made it cozier!).
After having so much fun at their engagement session at the McNay, Chloe and Jesus knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding day: more of those same vibes! They hoped for a mix of classic posed portraits and documentary moments that captured the joy and love of the day, with lots of close-ups and a whole lot of the old-world glamour and romance of their venue. Rich burgundy, blush, and emerald tones, gold accents, and candlelight set the scene for a day that felt straight out of a classic film.
The day began at The St. Anthony Hotel. Chloe’s details were the perfect preview of the day: a burgundy and green invitation suite, delicate lace heels, a vintage gold tray, and her rings tucked in among silk ribbon. Her gown hung among her bridesmaids’ dresses in a mix of wine, mauve, and emerald, which might be one of our favorite color stories ever. Her flower girls got their first peek at the dress, and Chloe’s bridesmaids gathered in matching pajamas for a little fun before the big moment.
Down the hall, Jesus and his groomsmen got ready in classic black tuxedos. One of our favorite moments of the morning was his dad helping him with his cufflinks, a quiet, sweet moment between the two of them before the day really got going. The guys (and their adorable ring bearers in suspenders and bow ties!) gathered for photos in the hotel’s grand, green-carpeted halls.

Chloe’s gown was pure romance: a sweetheart neckline, a lace bodice covered in delicate texture, off-the-shoulder beaded straps, and a full, flowing skirt with a long train and cathedral veil. Jesus looked so sharp in his black tux, finished with a deep burgundy calla lily boutonniere. Together they were the definition of timeless glamour.

Chloe and Jesus chose to save their first look for the aisle, but first, Chloe’s mom, Sandra, helped her into her gown in the soft window light of the suite. Chloe gifted her mom a handkerchief, a sweet keepsake that made for such a tender moment between the two of them. Then it was time for a special first look with her dad, Fred. When he saw her for the first time, the emotion on his face said everything, and there were plenty of hugs and happy tears all around.

Chloe and Jesus said “I do” at St. Joseph Catholic Church, one of downtown San Antonio’s most stunning historic churches. With its towering spire, stained glass, and intricately carved white and gold altar, it was the perfect setting for a traditional Catholic ceremony. Jesus escorted his mom down the aisle, the wedding party processed in to “Prince of Denmark’s March,” and their three ring bearers and two flower girls led the way before the music changed to Holst’s “Jupiter.” Then Chloe walked in on her dad’s arm to meet Jesus at the altar, with the church’s organist filling that gorgeous space with music.
The priest at St. Joseph led a beautiful ceremony, and their loved ones were woven throughout, from their readers to one of our favorite traditions: near the end of the ceremony, Jesus’s aunt and uncle placed the lazo over the couple, a beautiful symbol of their unity. After their first kiss as husband and wife, Chloe and Jesus made their way back down the aisle to Handel’s “Hornpipe” from Water Music, absolutely beaming!

The original plan was to head to the UTSA Southwest Campus for portraits along the Riverwalk, but San Antonio had other ideas and sent a little rain our way. So we stayed right at St. Joseph, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful backup! After family and wedding party photos at the altar, Chloe and Jesus had some quiet time together in the church and under its arched stone doorways, with Chloe’s veil catching the breeze. Then they hopped in the limo and toasted to their first few moments as newlyweds on the way to the reception.

With a few hours between the ceremony and cocktail hour, we had The St. Anthony almost all to ourselves, and the hotel’s classic glamour was on full display! Chloe and Jesus explored the grand staircases, French doors, and the gorgeous gold grand piano for portraits that felt like they belonged in an old Hollywood film. Then, as six o’clock rolled around, guests made their way into Peacock Alley to mingle to live saxophone and piano from Anthony Martinez of ATM Sax, sip on the couple’s signature drinks, and find their seats on Chloe and Jesus’s DIY seating chart. Every little detail felt personal, from the framed welcome sign and guest book to the matchbook favors.

The St. Anthony’s Anacacho Ballroom, with its crystal chandeliers and wraparound balcony, was transformed into a candlelit dream. Evember Floral filled the room with lush, cascading arrangements of blush and burgundy roses, hydrangeas, and greenery, paired with gold candelabras, taper candles, and gold chargers on soft sage linens. Ivory ribbon and lace detailed the couple’s chairs, and glowing green glass lamps added a vintage touch to the bar. A classic tiered wedding cake from The St. Anthony completed the look.

After a grand entrance with their wedding party, Chloe and Jesus shared their first dance to “Sweet Symphony” by Joy Oladokun featuring Chris Stapleton. Jesus’s Uncle Rudy led a heartfelt blessing before dinner, and the toasts that followed had everyone laughing and tearing up. Chloe dedicated her bouquet to her mom, and her dance with her dad to “You’ll Be in My Heart” was one of the sweetest moments of the night.
Then Power Sounds DJ opened up the dance floor and it did NOT slow down! Glow sticks came out, Little Lemon Shots kept the photo booth busy, and everyone from grandparents to the littlest guests hit the floor for one big, joyful celebration!

Chloe and Jesus’s wedding was everything they dreamed of: classic, glamorous, and surrounded by so much love (rain and all!). We’re so honored they trusted us to tell their story, and we can’t wait for them to relive it all over again!
