Maggi + Carter

From summer days as camp counselors to forever, Maggi + Carter’s love story started exactly the way you’d hope the best ones do — outdoors, easygoing, and full of laughter. The two met while counseling together at Camp Ozark, and their first official date was, fittingly, a trip to the zoo!

Ask Maggi what she loves most about Carter and she won’t hesitate: how intentional he is in everything he does, especially when it comes to her. That same intentionality showed up in the proposal, when Carter brought her to his nana’s ranch and surprised her at a dock decorated for the moment.

For their engagement session, Maggi + Carter wanted something that felt just like them — airy, outdoorsy, and unhurried. We spent a golden evening together at Hermann Park in Houston, TX, soaking up the last of the light and letting their easy, effortless love do all the talking. And when we asked what they’re most looking forward to about married life? Getting to do all the little things together, every single day.
