One of the best parts of being an Austin wedding photography and videography team is returning to our favorite wedding venues. The Arlo is one of our most frequented wedding venues, and we are always excited to return to it! As photographers, we appreciate the venue’s sophisticated and elegant design, as well as its ample natural light from all the oversized windows. With different ceremony location options, spacious getting-ready rooms, and views of the Texas Hill Country, The Arlo can facilitate any and every style of wedding.

Our Favorite Thing About The Arlo

With a clean, white, modern aesthetic, The Arlo is a minimal couple’s dream. But if you have a specific vision for your big day, you can use that minimalism as a blank space to create something entirely different. We love seeing what some of our couples have done to customize their ceremony and reception locations to reflect their personalities!

Spacious Getting Ready Suites

The two spacious getting ready suites make our job as your photographers easy! There’s lots of space and natural light, giving us the perfect conditions to photograph all of your details and the sweet pre-ceremony moments with the people you love. Plus, it makes your timeline much simpler when you can be on-site the whole day. If you choose to do a first look, you have a bunch of amazing locations to choose from! The grand staircase, private courtyard, or the lawn make for stunning first look photos.

Indoor & Outdoor Ceremony Locations

Another great thing about The Arlo is the different ceremony locations! If you want an indoor wedding, Storie Hall has high ceilings, wooden beams, and overflowing natural light. As photographers, we’re especially grateful for the high ceilings and large windows. The ceilings create a cathedral feeling during your ceremony, and the natural light makes everyone look their best in photos.

Were you dreaming of an outdoor wedding instead? The Lawn is perfect for you. You get a beautiful view of the hills, old oak trees, and the stunning outdoor fireplace, which you can decorate to your heart’s content. If you want ideas or directions for setting up your ceremony, we’ve seen a ton of creative ideas and have shot weddings in every style and layout. That’s the perk of working with an experienced Austin media team!

The Perfect Reception Space

Next, we have the ballroom. With oversized windows, high ceilings, and a clean, effortless vibe, the ballroom is the perfect canvas for your wedding reception. There’s more than enough room for all of your tables, a full band set-up, and, of course, dancing! We’re familiar with the Ballroom and all of it’s layouts, which makes it easy for us to fade into the background and capture all your memories during the reception. At the end of the night, you can have your grand exit on the main stairs while your friends and family cheer. Whatever your vision for your wedding, The Arlo will only elevate it and add to your wedding day experience. What to Consider When Getting Married at The Arlo

Are you now thinking of securing The Arlo for your wedding? Read this first! As photographers with an eye for detail and a heart for guest experience, there are a few things to keep in mind. If you’re planning an indoor ceremony at Storie Hall, note that the floor-to-ceiling windows face the parking lot. We recommend some light draping around the window to draw the eye away from the cars that might sneak into the background of your photos.

Do you want to get married outside instead? Great choice! But, unsurprisingly, the lawn can get very hot during peak Texas heat. If you have heat-sensitive guests, consider hosting your outdoor wedding during the cooler months, having it inside during the summer, or including parasols for your guests!
