How We Create Personalized Wedding Films

Knowing our couples is essential to creating truly custom wedding videos. We get to know you in the lead-up to your wedding day, starting with thorough questionnaires and calls. Our goal is to learn what’s most important to you, and we glean a lot of information from your wedding day itself. We listen to the music you like, from what’s playing as you get ready to the songs you choose for the ceremony and reception. We watch how you interact, not only with each other, but with your friends and family. This shows us how we can replicate the energy of the day for your wedding film so you truly feel like you’re back in the moment.

What Makes Our Wedding Videos Different

Many wedding videos are a montage of aesthetic clips over a pre-selected list of music. And while there’s nothing inherently wrong with this, it means that the videos can feel like part of a formula instead of an organic representation of your day. Many wedding videographers have a template that they copy and paste the clips from your wedding into, just changing the music. But here at Carhart Photography, our process is very different.

Everything about our wedding video services is customized, from the pacing of the clips to sound design! The head of our video production, David, comes from a background in songwriting. He has a deep understanding of what makes music impactful and emotional. And he uses his skill to create a truly personalized video by choosing music inspired by the feeling of your wedding day. We will rearrange the lyrics, switch keys, and even add ambient sounds like glasses clinking to put you right back in the scene.

We capture as much spoken audio as you are comfortable with – from your first look and vows to the in-between moments – and piece it together to create a cohesive story. No wedding video we create is ever the same since each one is based around the individual couple. Some videos are slow and sentimental. Others have us laughing in the production room. Your wedding video will reflect the feeling of your wedding day!
