The first step to planning your perfect wedding day is choosing the right venue. As an Austin-based photography and videography team, we’ve seen dozens of great venues, but one truly stands above the rest. Nestled in the heart of Round Rock, Woodbine Mansion is a Greek-revival style home with over 1.5 acres of gardens, perfect for a romantic, classic wedding day. From the wisteria-covered front porch to the incredible owners from Pearl Events, there’s so much to love about this venue!

Planning a Woodbine Mansion Wedding 

Thanks to their incredible team, planning a Woodbine Mansion wedding is a breeze. Each space throughout the venue is incredibly versatile, providing tons of great options for your event floor plan. However, the venue has some unique details that are definitely worth keeping in mind when you book your wedding here. 

First, when choosing the date for your Woodbine Mansion wedding, it’s important to consider whether the iconic Wisteria will bloom! These stunning purple flowers grow over the front porch ceremony space and truly transform the whole feel of the venue. If you’re hoping to get married during peak bloom, you’ll want to aim for a March or April wedding, while the green leaves remain throughout most of the summer. While there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to exchange your vows under a halo of purple (thanks, Mother Nature), choosing an early spring wedding date will give you the best chance. 

Another important thing to note when planning your wedding at Woodbine Mansion is whether you prefer an al fresco reception under the stars or a tented reception. The property is expansive and offers plenty of space for a stunning tent, but it’s not included in the rental. You’ll need to consider the additional cost if you want to rent a tent and provide shelter from the elements.

Round Rock, Texas 

One of the reasons we love Woodbine Mansion so much is its location! Round Rock is an adorable town, and Woodbine Mansion is within walking distance of its charming downtown. This is a great option for couples who want to keep the party going even after the wedding reception – your guests can easily head over for late night bites, drinks, and even live music! Who doesn’t love an afterparty? 

Another thing we love about the location of Woodbine Mansion is the quaint Airbnb right across the street. This house is ideal as a honeymoon suite or somewhere to let your pet relax if they’re making an appearance during the ceremony. We’ve even seen couples offer it to elderly family members who prefer to stay close by. Although not managed by the venue itself, it’s become a common feature of Woodbine Mansion weddings.

As an Austin-based wedding photography and videography team, we’ve been photographing weddings at  Woodbine Mansion since the venue opened. It’s by far one of the most aesthetic spaces we get to shoot, and my personal favorite. We love the variety of aesthetics in each room – from the feminine, floral bridal suite to the jewel-toned, masculine dressing rooms. There are even additional rooms in the mansion that serve as incredible indoor photo locations, such as the moody library and light, airy greenroom. The home retains historical details like the original mirrors and chandeliers, adding a 19th-century touch to this gorgeous venue. There’s truly nowhere in this mansion that was overlooked, and we find something new to love every time we visit. 

We’ve said it plenty, but it’s worth saying again – Woodbine Mansion is one of our absolute favorite wedding venues in Austin. From the stunning wisteria ceremony space to the impeccably designed mansion rooms, you can tell how much love and knowledge went into the design of this venue.
