Quiana + David
September 2026
Tucked into the rolling Hill Country outside Wimberley, Jacob’s Well Vineyard was the perfect home base for Quiana and David’s wedding day, a celebration that was light, bright and full of fun from the very first frame. With a backyard ceremony just down the road, a couple of friendly neighborhood cows, a vintage red pickup and one long, candlelit table stretched across the field under the string lights, this day was every bit as warm and personal as the two of them. Quiana and David did things their own way, and the result was a wedding their guests will be talking about for a long, long time!

Quiana and David first connected on Instagram, and their first date was dinner at Suerte in Austin. David was running a little late, Quiana was a little early, and the conversation flowed so easily that the two of them talked until the restaurant closed. So they moved next door to Whisler’s and kept talking until they closed that down too, all on a school night! Closing down restaurants together has been a running theme ever since, and they’ve been inseparable from that first night on.
David planned his proposal for a weekend getaway in Fredericksburg, carrying the ring in his pocket from winery to winery, waiting for just the right moment. By the final stop on Sunday, sitting outside under the trees at Lewis Wines, it was practically burning a hole in his pocket. Just as he was about to ask, Sir (their Boston terrier) wandered off and got sick. Reset. Another glass later, Ma’am (their mini poodle) jumped right into his lap, muddy paws and all. Reset again! One more glass in, David finally got his moment, telling Quiana he’d already asked her stepdad and her son for their blessing before asking her to marry him. She said yes, of course!
When asked what they love most about each other, Quiana said David always makes her feel so special, is always gentle and loving, and is “forever the best dressed man in the room.” David said Quiana is present and calming, creates a loving place to be, and is always incredibly beautiful. As for married life, Quiana is most looking forward to an “everlasting sweet love” and getting to call David her husband, and David is looking forward to making beautiful memories together with Quiana by his side as his wife and partner.
The day began at Jacob’s Well Vineyard, where Quiana’s bridesmaids were already dressed and her invitation suite, florals and details were laid out for the day ahead. Quiana’s mom helped her into her gown, a sweet and quiet moment between the two of them, and when Quiana stepped out to show her bridesmaids for the first time, their reactions said it all!
Just down the hall, David got ready with a few final touches of his own, from the cufflinks and watch to his bow tie. Before seeing each other, the two of them each sat down to write a handwritten card for the other.

Quiana’s Pnina Tornai gown was a showstopper, with delicate lace and a long cathedral veil that looked absolutely dreamy against the Hill Country sky. She finished the look with jewelry from Calvin’s Jewelry, hair and makeup by Raven Cornwall Beauty, and a lush white bouquet from The Sunrise Petal Company. Her bridesmaids looked gorgeous in mix-and-match dresses from Reformation and V. Chapman Studio. And true to Quiana’s words, David was, as always, the best dressed man in the room in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie.

Quiana and David shared their first look in a sunlit room at the vineyard, and David’s reaction when he turned around was everything! After a big hug (and a few happy tears), they swapped the handwritten cards they’d written that morning and took a quiet moment to read them together before the day got going.

Lots of couples do an outfit change for the dance floor, but Quiana and David did something truly unique: they changed into cocktail attire for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour with their guests! Quiana wore a blue and white floral dress, and David wore a blue suit. Drinks were flowing from the bar in the shed, trays of cocktails made their way around, and the couple got to hug and celebrate with everyone before the ceremony even started. And the neighbors’ cows wandered over to the fence to say hello and check out the party!
Then Quiana and David slipped away to change back into their formal wedding attire for the ceremony.

Quiana and David said “I do” in their own backyard, under a sprawling oak draped in flowing white fabric, with florals from The Sunrise Petal Company lining the aisle and a vintage red pickup filled with blooms nearby. Their officiant, Louis, is a long-time friend of David’s, and David’s dad shared a reading. Shots were passed out to guests for a toast to the couple, and in a moment that had everyone laughing, David read his vows from a giant book! When it came time to walk back up the aisle as newlyweds, guests showered them in a big petal toss.

While guests headed into a second, more traditional cocktail hour with a saxophone player from Premier Entertainment, Quiana and David headed out into the field for golden-hour portraits. David’s vintage red pickup made the perfect backdrop, and the neighbors’ cows came back around for a few more cameo appearances. Under Quiana’s veil and in the last warm light of the day, these portraits are pure romance!

The reception was pure Hill Country magic. One long table stretched across the vineyard’s field, dressed in crisp white linens with pink florals from The Sunrise Petal Company, candles, and place settings that carried the day’s florals down every seat. As the sun went down, lighting from HC Event Rentals glowed overhead, and the moon rose right on cue. Guests enjoyed dinner from Contigo Catering and desserts from Rayne Desserts, with rentals from Premiere Events bringing it all together. Every detail of the design by In Ink Weddings felt effortless, and the whole table just glowed.

After a big grand entrance, Quiana and David cut their cake beneath candlelit chandeliers hanging from the trees, then headed to the pavilion for their first dance. From there, DJ Andrew Brown and The Premier Austin DJs kept the dance floor packed! Light-up wands came out, the photo booth stayed busy, late-night spiral potatoes and mini corndogs made the rounds, and Quiana tossed her bouquet to a crowd of excited guests.
To end the night, guests lined up with light-up wands for a glowing send-off, and Quiana and David drove away as newlyweds in David’s vintage red pickup, complete with a “Just Married” banner and cans trailing behind!

Quiana and David’s wedding was light, bright and so much fun, and it was filled with the kinds of personal touches that made it feel completely their own. We’re so grateful we got to be a part of it!
